Don’t you just love to lick your fingers after munching on something tasty? Finger food is so great for healthy snacking because they can be portable, quick to make, and healthy without actually sacrificing taste.


Often finger foods can mean greasy fries and fried mozzarella sticks - empty calories on a plate!

Now imagine creamy mozzarella cheese sticks wrapped in thin slices of salty prosciutto. Or picture biting into a farm fresh tomato sandwich with a garlicky spread. Sounds good right? Well, just to let you know, they are really healthy too!

You don’t have to eat finger food that’s junk! Here is a collection of lip smacking, finger licking finger food recipes that will have you munching healthy in no time!

Peanut Butter and Honey Sandwich
Peanut butter and honey has become one of my new favorite combinations. The honey enhances the flavor of the peanut butter and adds a sweet touch in your mouth. Spread in between two slices of whole wheat bread, it makes the perfect “makeover” to an old standby.

Prosciutto Wrapped String Cheese
I love giving store bought snacks, a gourmet and fresh touch. By wrapping fresh slices of prosciutto around store bought string cheese (I mean, who doesn’t love a nice tearable string cheese?) you get the best of both worlds. And a delicious salty, meaty, creamy healthy snack!

Tomato Sandwich

Tomato Sandwich
This is one of my favorite healthy snacks. It’s so good, I don’t know if I can describe it to you without drooling all over my keyboard. I’ll give it a try. Juicy slices of ripe tomato and a garlicky mayonnaise spread with a hint of lemon are sandwiched between two grainy slices of wheat bread. Ahh, perfection. I highly recommend you try it today!

Turkey Roll Ups
I don’t know about you, but I love to munch on slices of deli meat. No need for bread, just the meat’s flavor itself is enough to satisfy my growling stomach. That is why I love turkey roll ups. By using turkey slices (although any other deli meat would work just as well) as a wrapper, you get big meaty flavor in every bite!

Crackers with Cheddar and Walnuts

Crackers with Cheddar and Walnuts
Adding fresh toppings on wholesome crackers makes for a perfect bite-sized snack. This cheddar walnut topping combo is sophisticated and full of flavor. A touch of yogurt and fig spread adds tang and sweetness. This is great finger food for impressing friends and your stomach!

Garlic Toast

Garlic Toast
Give new meaning to toast! By adding a drizzle of good olive oil and rubbing some garlic into the bread, you have a yummy healthy snack that tastes anything but healthy. This is great for garlic and toast lovers, but you could easily leave out the garlic for a gourmet-tasting piece of toast. This is a nice way to finish off that last piece of stale bread as well!
